History of Kratom
The use of kratom dates back hundreds of years throughout Southeast Asia, where the plant naturally grows. It was traditionally chewed or brewed into tea by people indigenous to Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and other regions of Southeast Asia. People believe that kratom’s stimulant effects help work productivity and promote generally relaxed feelings. However, there are no official medical studies to support this at the time being.
Kratom Today

The changes in the vein colors are caused by the ratio variation of two of the plant’s alkaloids. These main alkaloids are mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine.

The mature red vein is the strongest, while the green vein strains are in the middle. Green vein kratom strains are favored for beginning users and those looking for a midway ground due to their potency and maturity.
Red Kratom
Red vein kratom, like other types, is widely grown in Southeast Asia and exported. While the plant may grow worldwide, it thrives best in the climates of Borneo, Bali, and other comparable areas.
When red vein kratom reaches its peak of maturity, farmers harvest it. The hue of the Mitragyna speciosa leaf veins, dark red, inspired the name. When the leaves are crushed into a powder, the once-noticeable color difference becomes difficult to tell apart.
Green Kratom
Green vein kratom is a cross between white and red vein kratom. When the plant reaches mid-maturity, growers harvest it. Farmers gather the leaves in their early life cycle to obtain white vein strains.
White Kratom
White Kratom is the purest form of kratom available today due to its lack of color which means it lacks any other compound properties found in either green or red varieties (except for white veins). This means that there is nothing blended about this powder, and it usually contains higher concentrations than average.
Yellow or Gold Kratom
Yellow kratom is a blend that contains two or more different kratom strains. Many Kratom dealers will mix white and red kratom and term the combination either gold or yellow.
